R-Link 2: a version 7.0.24.12x appears!
Until then, we knew version 2.2.xx and version 3.3.xx for R-Link 2.
The mMegane IV RS has brought with it a new version that begins to arrive on new vehicles manufactured recently: surprise is the 7.0.24.121 (or 7.0.24.126). No need to look at me with this head ? , I can not tell you where the versions 4, 5 and 6 are ?. I agree, I gave up trying to understand the numbering logic of R-Link 2 ? versions.
First point nothing seems to indicate that it is installable on the R-Link 2 2.2 or 3.3, no need to go run at your dealer.
Second point: what does this version bring? The images that we find on the Internet gives us a little bit of information.

First, we notice that the status bar at the very top of the screen has been modified. We thus find permanently on all screens the following shortcuts (from left to right):
- The navigation map.
- The screen of the radio or music.
- The notifications
- The screen for the Bluetooth phone.
This is a very good thing from an ergonomic point of view, we can move from one universe to another without having to constantly return to the home menu. By cons rectangular buttons give the impression of a debug mode that would have been forgotten, at least now we understand that they are clickable buttons (not obvious on the 2.2 and 3.3).

Another emalioration that I spotted in this video: 2 buttons on the map in full screen. The first checkerboard will go directly to the destination menu to launch a new guide. The second below indicates which traffic info is used: here we see the HD Traffic TomTom. I imagine that when this is not the case there will be marked RDS / TMC.
In short, there are surely other novelties but this one is already interesting.

This version (7.0.24..) of R-Link 2 is referred to as R-Link 2.3, where the version (3.3…) with CarPlay is referred to as R-Link SPMIR (SmartPhoneMIRroring)
I’ve entered the developer mode but accidentally I’ve touched the first top right option related to ‘Screen display’, I think it’s switched to ‘high’…
Now the screen is off (blank), the functions are working but the screen is blank.
I tried more than once to switch off the engine, restart the display unit, and even i tried to pull out the fuse, but nothing worked…
Please help me
